Time Attack Knockhill Day 1

Having never been to Scotland before, I have been genuinely enthusiastic about travelling to the country of haggis and kilts, to combine it with my passion for Time Attack.

On arrival at Knockhill we found The Dane, Bo Nielsen in high spirits with mark two of his 2012 car.

Knockhill is quite literally on a hill in the middle of nowhere. It is what you might call 'the wild west', with no shade from the wind and houses that are either castles or bungalows.

It took us no time at all to get the landmark red pit garage up and weighted down with every heavy object we could find taking no risks this weekend.

We then set about helping get Jamie Willson's car off the trailer.

It took eight men. After much shouting the job was done, and we left the guys and their cars for the five mile trip to the nearest city for food.

The signs in Scotland are odd, I will maintain it was the signs and not poor navigation from us, but that five mile trip took us right past the entrance for the circuit again and ten miles out of our way. Nightmare.

Finally we got back to the hotel after a Mexican feast ready for testing on Saturday and hoping for less rain.
